A bit about Fleur

Fleur Jack is a New Zealand musician and songwriter, now based in Seattle.

 

She has toured and played her original music in America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong.

Most recently, Fleur raised $6000 to record at London Bridge Studios (Seattle), the home of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. She has finished up a six song CD which is just about to be released.

Ghosts of Cimarron - debut album.

 

Late 2010, Jack became the 51st artist in the world to successfully raise to target on the website funding platform Sellaband. She ustilised the funds to record her debut solo album, "Ghosts of Cimarron". Recorded at The Lab Studios (Auckland) with Oliver Harmer as engineer, the tracks were sent to Bernie Grundman Mastering (Hollywood) to be finished off by the studio that mastered Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' album among others.“Ghosts of Cimarron” was released March 30th 2012 through Rangi Records (Jack's own label).

 

Fleur is also the lead vocalist, bassist & writer for rock band “The

Twitch”, who placed 2nd in the 2005 International Battle of the Bands World Final. She was the front woman for alt-county/pop band Pavlova and the Jandals in 2009/2010, before reforming and changing the name to Fleur Jack and the Jandals late 2010. From 2006 - 2012 Jack worked as a broadcaster, presenting the I.A.N Show (Indie, Alternative, New) nationwide on the KiwiFM network.

 

The Jandals, played their debut gigs at Auckland's Wine Cellar and The Titirangi Music Festival in March 2011. Her song 'Not my Fault' was included on the 2011 Titirangi Festival Compilation Album. The same song was also featured alongside Lionel Richie on the benefit compilation “We Will Rise Again” to raise money for rebuilding the city of Christchurch. September 2011, leaving The Jandals in New Zealand, she embarked on a 6 week solo tour of America's West Coast, and Canada (including the International Pop Overthrow Festival in Vancouver).
